A Beach Breeze Inn
A Beach Breeze Inn-Cape Cod Lodging-MotelCome to the Cape Cod you remember....
Our adorable Inn is family owned and operated. Our spotless rooms are reminiscent of ?Olde Cape Cod?: wallpaper, wainscoting, charming touches. All of our rooms are non-smoking. In our ground level inn, all our rooms overlook our sparkling oversized pool, where you can relax poolside on our lounge chairs and feel the gentle breezes. We also have a family picnic area with a gas grill. Walk to warm water ocean beach!
We are located in West Harwich, a wonderful Cape Cod town that truly has kept that? Cape Cod quaintness? Located past the traffic congestion that plagues the mid-cape, Harwich has great restaurants, adorable shops, fun-filled activities for the kids (mini-golf, trampolines, bumper boats, batting cages, go-carts, etc.) fishing, golf, kayaking and the list goes on...... There is a ferry to Nantucket, wonderful bike and conservation trails, museums, playhouse, movie theater and best of all, beautiful beaches! Pleasant Rd. Beach, a warm water ocean beach, is just a 10 minute walk from our inn.
The quaintness of an inn, the privacy of a motel.

Hunt seals for bounties and start killing sharks
In the wake of the recent tragedies in Wellfleet and Truro, I call all lovers of Cape Cod to action. As an ocean lover, I am upset because I can no longer enjoy surfing and swimming on the Outer Cape. With frequent beach closures, the fear of sharks escalates to the point where people will not set foot in the ocean. This poses a threat to the Cape’s economy, with tourists and residents seeking alternative destinations for ocean enjoyment. In addition, seals eat huge [...]
Peter Tedeschi has record of success
We have a business leader stepping up to run for Congress: Peter Tedeschi, the former president and CEO of Tedeschi Food Shops. The Tedeschi family’s legacy on the Cape goes back nearly a century, running Tedeschi supermarkets, Angelo’s supermarkets, and Tedeschi Food Shops. This is Peter’s first run for political office, and I am confident that he can use his business background to push real solutions in a gridlocked Congress.U.S. Rep. Keating has failed to [...]
How kind of Wellfleet to make nonresidents pay
I write to praise Wellfleet and its residents, not to criticize them.Like many towns, Wellfleet has problems, one of which is that some residents are not as well off as others. We residents are a kind, concerned, resourceful people. Unlike many towns, we have a large number of nonresidents. They are a generous group, being major contributors to organizations such as the library, historical society, conservation trust, Preservation Hall, the sanctuary and Outer Cape Health, among [...]
Grateful for real humans at our fire department
I would like to share my good feelings. While out shopping recently I received a phone call from Capt. Jeffrey Huska of the Hyannis Fire Department. It seems I had left a pot of boiling eggs on the stove before going out in the morning. My alert neighbor heard the smoke alarms and called 911; fortunately she had a key and was able to let them in to my embarrassing disaster.Capt. Huska could not have been nicer or more helpful. He removed the destroyed pot, opened all the windows, [...]
Education may be key to breaking opioids? grip
Considering all the factors contributing to the overwhelming disease of opioids, as so eloquently put forth by Ronald Beaty, religion may be the answer for some, but not all - there are other avenues to explore (“Only faith-based means can end opioid scourge,” Letters, Sept. 14).I belong to Al-Anon, a support group that is a spiritual program open to all; it addresses many issues, the main focus of which has become abuse of drugs. I have learned a great deal about the [...]
